About Mount Cascade Russian Blues
Russian Blue kittens trace their roots to the port of Arkhangelsk in northern Russia, where sailors prized these cats for their skill at keeping ships free of rodents. They are elegant, gentle in nature, and form strong bonds with their handlers. Because of this close relationship, they have always been natural house cats, not just working cats kept on the docks. After a day of quiet exploring, they would happily curl up by the fire. Their calm nature, intelligence, and striking good looks have made them popular as both companions and show cats.
Now, fast forward to today...
Over the years of breeding Russian Blue kittens, we've learned that Russian Blues don't just become part of ours; they become part of the family. They love being around people and are happiest when they're included in everyday life. Whether you're making a cup of tea, watching television, tidying the house, or settling in for the evening, you'll usually have a Russian Blue right beside you. Their friendly nature is one of the reasons we fell in love with the breed. They enjoy spending time with their families, are gentle with children, and love making new friends.
